OVERVIEW The Senior Assistant Director of International Admission at Mount Holyoke College supports the execution of the institution’s international recruitment strategy under the supervision of the Associate Director of International Admission. This role combines international student recruitment, relationship management, application review, and data analysis to help attract students to the college’s inclusive academic community. The position involves extensive travel within the United States and overseas as part of regional territory management and outreach efforts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Execute key aspects of the College’s international recruitment strategy – Represent the College in international recruitment efforts in the United States and overseas – Travel approximately six to ten weeks per year for recruitment activities and territory management – Build and maintain relationships with schools and counselors – Manage regional admission recruitment territories – Read and evaluate applications as part of the admission selection process – Conduct data analysis related to admission activities – Implement admission initiatives – Represent the college internationally at recruitment events – Staff college fairs and recruitment programs – Conduct information sessions for prospective students and families – Support application review and evaluation processes – Contribute as a key member of the Office of Admission in attracting ambitious and independent-minded students REQUIREMENTS – Ability to execute international recruitment strategies – Willingness and ability to travel internationally and within the United States for recruitment activities – Experience or capability in relationship building with schools and counselors – Ability to manage recruitment territories – Skills in application reading and selection – Ability to conduct data analysis – Strong presentation and communication skills for information sessions and college fairs – Capacity to represent the institution professionally in international settings – Ability to support admission initiatives and application evaluation processes WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International admission professionals play an important role in expanding access to global education opportunities and strengthening institutional diversity.
