OVERVIEW The Program Engagement Lead supports the World Science Scholars educational program operated by the World Science Festival. This role focuses on engagement, communications, recruitment outreach, and synchronous programming within a global online scholar community. The position works closely with students, alumni, faculty, and partner organizations to strengthen participation and support cohorts of high school scholars from around the world. The role combines program coordination, community management, and outreach responsibilities. Candidates should be comfortable facilitating online interaction, supporting virtual events, and helping maintain an active and connected educational community. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Manage engagement activities for the World Science Scholars program – Coordinate communications with scholars, alumni, schools, and partners – Support recruitment outreach efforts for future cohorts – Coordinate synchronous online programming and virtual sessions – Facilitate faculty Q&A events – Support international cohorts of high school scholars – Maintain relationships with alumni participants – Moderate online community platforms – Evaluate applications for future cohorts – Support an educational program serving students from across the world REQUIREMENTS – Experience supporting engagement and communications activities – Ability to coordinate virtual sessions and synchronous online programming – Ability to facilitate faculty Q&A events – Experience supporting international cohorts and online community engagement – Ability to conduct recruitment outreach with schools and partners – Ability to evaluate applications for program participation – Strong organizational and communication skills for program coordination WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This position contributes to an educational program that connects students from around the world through online learning and community engagement.
