OVERVIEW Bay College is seeking a TRIO Peer Mentor for the Iron Mountain location. This position works closely with TRIO Student Support Services staff to assist with student-focused activities, events, and support services. The role centers on helping students engage with campus resources while promoting academic and social success. The TRIO Peer Mentor contributes to a welcoming and supportive environment for students participating in TRIO Student Support Services. Responsibilities include assisting with center activities, supporting food pantry services, and encouraging student engagement across academic and campus activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Work with TRIO Student Support Services staff to support program operations – Assist with center activities and events – Provide support for TRIO student engagement efforts – Help promote social and academic success for students – Assist with food pantry services – Support student participation in campus activities – Collaborate with staff to encourage student involvement and connection REQUIREMENTS – Ability to work with TRIO Student Support Services staff – Ability to assist with student activities and events – Interest in supporting student engagement and academic success – Ability to provide support services to students – Ability to assist with food pantry services WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Peer mentor positions play an important role in helping students feel connected to campus resources and support services.
