OVERVIEW The Global Research and Engagement Program Director at the University of Notre Dame supports the university’s internationalization efforts across five continents. Notre Dame Global advances study abroad initiatives, international research projects, and global academic centers through coordinated academic and administrative engagement. This position focuses on advancing international research and scholarship through program management, collaboration support, and oversight of global partnerships. The role also contributes to faculty collaboration, grant development, and institutional engagement connected to global research initiatives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Manage international research collaboration grants and related processes – Support international research and scholarship initiatives – Facilitate global partnerships connected to academic and research priorities – Coordinate Fulbright scholar engagement activities – Support international faculty collaboration and grant development – Oversee portfolio management responsibilities – Conduct evaluation and reporting activities for programs and initiatives – Lead process optimization efforts related to international research programs – Coordinate compliance activities connected to global research initiatives – Provide committee leadership and liaison support – Support management and administration of international engagement activities REQUIREMENTS – Significant experience in academic or research administration – Experience in international engagement – Experience in program management WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International research and academic engagement strengthen collaboration across institutions, disciplines, and regions.
