OVERVIEW The Assistant Director of Admissions at Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs supports graduate admissions, recruitment, and enrollment management activities in New York City, New York. Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions, this role contributes to prospective student outreach, application evaluation, and recruitment programming for graduate programs. The position also works closely with faculty, alumni, administrators, and affairs teams to support enrollment objectives and student engagement initiatives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support admissions, recruitment, and enrollment management activities for graduate programs – Conduct prospective student outreach and counseling – Review and evaluate applications – Coordinate recruitment events and yield events – Participate in recruitment travel activities – Support virtual programming initiatives – Coordinate class visit programming – Assist with Slate CRM operations – Collaborate with Alumni Affairs – Work with faculty, alumni, and administrators to support enrollment objectives REQUIREMENTS – Experience supporting admissions and recruitment activities – Ability to evaluate applications and counsel applicants – Experience coordinating events and programming – Ability to collaborate with faculty, alumni, administrators, and affairs teams – Familiarity with enrollment management processes – Ability to support virtual programming and recruitment travel – Experience assisting with CRM operations, including Slate WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This position plays an important role in helping graduate programs connect with prospective students and support enrollment goals.
