OVERVIEW The Student Immigration Compliance Officer role supports Northeastern University London in meeting its sponsorship obligations under the UK Student Route. This position plays a central role in safeguarding institutional compliance with immigration regulations while supporting international students throughout their study journey. The role combines regulatory oversight with direct student-facing responsibilities to ensure accurate processes and consistent engagement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support the university in meeting UKVI sponsorship duties under the Student Route – Manage CAS issuance in line with regulatory requirements – Oversee visa compliance activities for international students – Monitor student attendance to ensure ongoing compliance – Liaise with international students regarding immigration-related matters – Act as a point of contact with UK Visas and Immigration to ensure full regulatory compliance REQUIREMENTS – WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role is essential to maintaining the university’s ability to recruit and support international students within a highly regulated immigration environment. Effective compliance activity helps protect institutional sponsorship status while ensuring students receive accurate guidance.
