OVERVIEW The Senior Student Immigration Compliance Officer plays a critical role in ensuring Bournemouth University meets its obligations as a UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) student sponsor. Based in Bournemouth, England, this role focuses on safeguarding the University’s ability to recruit and support international students through rigorous compliance and expert guidance. The position sits within the Student Immigration Compliance and Advice Team in Academic Services and works across multiple functions of the institution. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Lead the day-to-day monitoring of student immigration compliance in line with UKVI student sponsor requirements. – Ensure accurate reporting and the maintenance of student immigration records. – Provide expert advice on student visa regulations to staff and stakeholders. – Work closely with Admissions, International Recruitment, and Academic Operations teams. – Liaise with external bodies, including UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). REQUIREMENTS – Experience and knowledge sufficient to ensure ongoing compliance with UKVI student sponsor requirements. – Knowledge of student visa regulations to support accurate advice and guidance.
