OVERVIEW The University of Strathclyde is seeking an International UG Administrative Assistant to support the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences. This administrative role focuses on undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes, with particular involvement in biomedical sciences programmes. The position requires strong organisational skills and provides support for international programmes connected with partner institutions in china and Jordan. The successful candidate will join the administration teaching team and contribute to the effective delivery of student-facing and programme-related activities. Experience in student administration within higher or further education and familiarity with admissions or student record systems would be advantageous. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide administrative support for undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes – Support biomedical sciences programmes within the institute – Assist in all aspects of undergraduate secretarial support – Take primary responsibility for administration linked to international programmes – Support collaborative programmes with China Pharmaceutical University in Nanjing, china – Support collaborative programmes with the Middle Eastern University in Amman, Jordan – Work as part of the administration teaching team – Contribute to effective programme administration and coordination REQUIREMENTS – Excellent organisational skills – Competent and enthusiastic approach to administrative work – Ability to support undergraduate and postgraduate programmes – Experience of student administration in higher or further education is advantageous – Knowledge of student record systems would be advantageous – Knowledge of admissions systems would be advantageous WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Administrative professionals play an important role in ensuring that university programmes operate effectively and that student support processes run smoothly.
