OVERVIEW The Head of Transnational Education (TNE) will provide leadership and development support for the University of Bath’s expanding portfolio of global partnerships. Based within the International Relations Office, the position focuses on establishing and maintaining offshore educational provision and transnational education activities across multiple jurisdictions. This role combines strategic oversight with operational delivery. The successful candidate will contribute to partnership development, governance, quality assurance, international market analysis, financial modelling, and regulatory compliance to support sustainable international education initiatives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Lead development activities connected to the university’s transnational education portfolio – Support the implementation of frameworks and processes for offshore educational provision – Build operational capability to launch and sustain transnational education activities – Manage partnership development with global partners – Oversee governance arrangements linked to international partnerships – Contribute to quality assurance processes for educational provision – Conduct international market analysis to inform strategic decisions – Support financial modelling for transnational education initiatives – Ensure regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions – Work within the International Relations Office to support international education priorities REQUIREMENTS – Experience supporting or leading transnational education activities – Knowledge of partnership development within a university or international education environment – Understanding of governance and quality assurance processes – Ability to contribute to international market analysis – Experience with financial modelling related to education activities – Knowledge of regulatory compliance across different jurisdictions – Capacity to implement operational frameworks and processes – Ability to support offshore educational provision and international development initiatives WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Transnational education continues to shape the international development strategies of many university institutions.
