OVERVIEW The International Recruitment Assistant role at the University of Salford supports the recruitment and conversion of international students within a UK higher education context. With a strong operational and compliance focus, the position is centred on delivering a high-quality recruitment journey for international applicants. A significant part of the role involves credibility interviewing and close collaboration with colleagues across international recruitment and admissions functions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Conduct credibility interviews with international offer-holders as a significant proportion of the role – Accurately record interview outcomes and related applicant information – Support UKVI-related processes connected to international student recruitment – Support international student recruitment and applicant conversion activity – Contribute to the University’s wider recruitment, admissions and engagement processes – Provide professional administrative and operational support to the International Recruitment Team – Maintain accurate and up-to-date applicant records – Engage with prospective students, education agents and external partners to support conversion from application to enrolment REQUIREMENTS – Highly organised approach to work – Confident communication skills – Ability to conduct student credibility interviews – Ability to accurately record outcomes and maintain detailed records – Capacity to support compliance-related processes, including UKVI-related activity – Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across an international recruitment team WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International recruitment plays a critical role in the sustainability, diversity and global reach of UK universities.
