OVERVIEW The Global Partnerships Manager role at the University of Birmingham sits within the International Team in External Relations and plays a central part in advancing the institution’s global engagement. The position focuses on building and strengthening international research and education partnerships, with a primary regional emphasis on the Americas. This role combines strategic relationship management with practical delivery, contributing directly to the University’s international strategy and global reputation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Build and strengthen global research and education partnerships – Develop strategic international relationships – Support collaborative international initiatives – Plan and deliver international events – Manage international delegations – Provide market and policy insight related to international engagement – Support the University’s international strategy – Contribute to enhancing the University’s global reputation REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Global partnerships are a critical mechanism through which universities extend their research impact, enrich educational opportunities, and strengthen their international standing.
