OVERVIEW The Student Immigration Compliance & Advice Officer at Birkbeck, University of London plays a key administrative role in supporting international students and safeguarding the institution’s ability to sponsor student visas. Based within the International Student Administration team in Registry Services, the role combines operational compliance work with direct student-facing support. It is well suited to an administrator who is organised, confident with systems, and motivated to build expertise in student immigration processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support the International Student Administration team within Registry Services. – Help maintain the University’s Student Visa sponsor licence. – Process Confirmations of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). – Undertake student visa compliance checks. – Provide basic immigration advice and support to international students and applicants. REQUIREMENTS – Experience working as an administrator. – Excellent IT skills. – Strong organisational skills. – Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
