OVERVIEW The Head of Transnational Education (TNE) Programmes will lead the University of Bristol’s approach to transnational education within the Global Partnerships team. This role focuses on developing overseas education opportunities, supporting strategic global partnerships, and strengthening international engagement initiatives. The position involves shaping tne strategy, evaluating new opportunities, and overseeing the development of programmes and partnership activity. The successful candidate will work across multiple university functions to support effective collaboration and delivery. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Lead the university’s approach to transnational education within the Global Partnerships team – Develop and oversee overseas education opportunities – Support strategic education partnerships and international engagement initiatives – Shape tne strategy across programmes and partnerships – Evaluate global opportunities connected to education and partnerships – Develop programme proposals for tne initiatives – Build governance processes for programmes and partnerships – Lead the TNE Programmes team – Work closely with Global Relations, Faculties, Schools, Legal, Finance and senior academic colleagues REQUIREMENTS – Experience leading transnational education programmes or related initiatives – Ability to develop strategic partnerships and global opportunities – Experience developing programme proposals and governance processes – Ability to work collaboratively with academic and professional services teams – Leadership experience within education or global partnerships environments WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This position supports the university’s international education ambitions by strengthening global partnerships and expanding opportunities for collaborative programmes.
