OVERVIEW The Senior International Program Coordinator at the University of Tennessee’s Haslam College of Business is a full-time professional role focused on advancing faculty-directed international programs and study abroad initiatives. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of International Programs & Partnerships, this position provides leadership, coordination, and essential services that support the college’s global engagement goals. The role combines program management, partnership coordination, student advising, and strategic representation to strengthen Haslam’s international presence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Manage study abroad and other international programs for the Haslam College of Business – Provide leadership and essential services to faculty-directed international programming – Serve as a liaison with domestic and foreign institutional partners – Oversee risk management processes and pre-departure planning for international programs – Supervise student staff involved in international programming – Support program development and program-related analytics – Advise students participating in or interested in international programs – Promote international programs within the college and to relevant audiences – Contribute to the college’s internationalization strategy – Represent the university at national and international conferences REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role plays a critical part in ensuring that international programs are well-managed, academically sound, and aligned with institutional priorities. By coordinating logistics, partnerships, and risk management, the position helps create safe and meaningful global learning experiences for students and faculty.
