OVERVIEW Western Michigan University is seeking a full-time Study Abroad Specialist within the Haenicke Institute for Global Education. This role supports international education initiatives by guiding students through study abroad opportunities and strengthening global engagement across the institution. The position operates in a comprehensive education environment focused on expanding access to abroad study experiences. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Advise students on study abroad opportunities – Process study abroad applications – Manage a portfolio of study abroad programs – Support marketing and recruitment efforts to increase participation – Contribute to international education, global engagement, and internationalization initiatives – Support study abroad program development REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This position plays a key role in expanding access to study abroad and strengthening international education pathways for students.
