This individual is responsible for managing various aspects of study abroad programs at the university. The director’s duties include initiating and developing study abroad programs, handling budgeting, faculty recruitment, student selection, and logistics. S/he also provides leadership to study abroad staff and faculty, manages exchange programs with other institutions, coordinates international scholarship programs, and acts as the university’s international representative. Additionally, s/he works on promoting health and safety measures for students, faculty, and staff during study abroad programs and supervises advisors who assist students with study, work, and travel opportunities abroad.
