OVERVIEW The Immigration Specialist II role at The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology is a senior-level position supporting international faculty, researchers, and visitors in a highly specialized academic and research environment. Based in Jupiter, Florida, this role provides institution-wide immigration expertise to ensure compliance, continuity of research operations, and a positive experience for international employees and visitors. The position plays a central advisory and compliance function within laboratories and administrative departments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide senior-level advice and counsel to laboratories and administrative departments regarding the appointment and sponsorship of international employees and visitors. – Serve as an Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) in support of institutional immigration compliance responsibilities. – Deliver expert guidance related to the filing of applications and petitions for all nonimmigrant and immigrant options. – Maintain confidential data associated with immigration records and cases. – Conduct immigration-related trainings and orientations across campus.
