Job Description: We are seeking an experienced International Student Support Advisor to join our global company. Reporting to the Director of Student Services, the ISSA plays a critical role within the Student Services Team, providing administrative assistance and working closely with other campus staff at the Sydney Campus.
Responsibilities:
– Administrative support for international student services, including handling student letters, withdrawals, course transfers, leave of absence, course change, and release letter applications
– Providing face to face student-facing advice and referral service to international students on various administrative issues
– Managing student queries and requests through the CRM system
– Updating data in PRISMS and Student One as required
– Preparing trackers and spreadsheets using Excel
– Assisting with Student Orientation
– Collaborating with SCU staff to enhance the student experience
Requirements:
– Relevant tertiary qualification and comfortable being student-facing, particularly for the international market
– Demonstrated experience supporting students or clients from diverse cultures
– Proactive approach, with the ability to negotiate and solve problems in a client-centered manner
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks
– Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds
– Strong organizational skills, able to work independently and as part of a team
– Ability to prioritize workload and work well in high-pressure environments
– Proficiency in computing skills, including Excel, spreadsheets, and database software
– Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
