Location: Waterside Campus Closing Date: 17-09-2023 Documents Job Description.pdf (PDF, 141.25kb) About the Job Interview Date: 28 September 2023 We are seeking an Immigration Compliance Manager to ensure that the University of Northampton maintains a high level of compliance with its obligations to the Home Office/UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) service. In this role, you will utilize your extensive knowledge of the UKVI system and associated legislation to strategically and operationally lead compliance efforts across all university departments. Reporting to the Director of Global Engagement, you will collaborate with senior colleagues, faculty, and professional services in providing advice and managing the team responsible for student monitoring and compliance. Additionally, you will handle communication with the Home Office/UKVI and possess the necessary interpersonal skills to engage in relevant networks within the sector. With the implementation of Smarter Working, you will have increased flexibility in how you carry out your work, which can provide greater freedom and autonomy. About You The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of existing Home Office/UKVI service guidance and legislation in relation to the higher education sector. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are essential for building and maintaining collaborative relationships with various stakeholders. You should also have recent experience managing teams and the processes and systems they utilize. Additionally, a high level of analytical skill is necessary, as well as the ability to interpret regulatory frameworks and assess their implications and impact. Qualifications Essential: – Educated to degree level or equivalent. Faculty/Department The Directorate of Global Engagement oversees all international and partnership engagement activities at the University of Northampton. This includes managing the international academic program portfolio, international civic experiences, international student recruitment and support, UKVI compliance, global advancement, and global reputation.
