Are you enthusiastic about creating unforgettable study abroad experiences for students from around the world? We are seeking a dynamic Global Summer Coordinator to join our team at the University of Bristol’s Centre for Study Abroad, which is part of the Global Engagement Division. As a Centre for Study Abroad Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to provide extraordinary summer programs for students. Working closely with our team of Global Summer Officers and Head of Global Summer, you will assist in the planning and execution of the university’s summer schools for international students. Your goal will be to ensure exceptional experiences for up to 500 students. This will involve coordinating the operations and activities of up to 10 online and in-person summer schools across the university. Please note that there may be a requirement for non-traditional working hours, including evenings and weekends, during the delivery of the summer school programs. What will your responsibilities include? – Providing project and administrative support to the Head of Global Summer with professionalism and attention to detail. – Building strong relationships with academic and administrative colleagues while offering support to students. – Managing overlapping timelines and deadlines for multiple summer school programs, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise. – Paying meticulous attention to detail in tasks such as handling student data, arranging travel bookings, and organizing social events. – Assisting in the supervision of small teams of student workers. Why should you apply? – Ideally, you have experience in an international or student-facing role. – You have demonstrated the ability to manage multiple activities or projects simultaneously and possess a proactive problem-solving approach. – A passion for international education or mobility would be a bonus. – Experience in coordinating or delivering events in collaboration with external partners is advantageous.
