OVERVIEW Kansas State University is seeking a Study Abroad Advisor to support student participation in educational experiences abroad. This role provides guidance and professional service to students before, during, and after their study experience abroad while coordinating important application and program processes. The advisor also works closely with faculty, staff, parents, and overseas partners to share information and support student success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide guidance and professional service to students before, during, and after their educational experience abroad – Inform students, parents, faculty, and staff about study, internship, service, and research opportunities abroad – Coordinate program and application processes – Participate in campus recruitment and promotion activities – Communicate with academic and administrative offices – Support student access to and participation in global applied learning experiences – Work with overseas partners to obtain information related to application processes – Assist with course selection information for students – Share arrival information and accommodation details with students – Maintain communication regarding relevant program information – Participate in some national and international travel REQUIREMENTS – Ability to provide guidance and professional service to student populations – Ability to communicate information clearly with students, parents, faculty, staff, and overseas partners – Experience coordinating application processes and program information – Ability to support student participation in study opportunities abroad – Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as needed WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This position supports students as they pursue educational and applied learning opportunities abroad.
