OVERVIEW The Director of Health and Safety is a senior leadership role responsible for safeguarding the well-being, security, and safety of Verto Education’s international programs and activities. This position oversees health and safety strategy across multiple countries, supporting students, staff, and partners engaged in international education and travel. The role operates remotely, with scope across the United States and select European locations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Hold comprehensive responsibility for health, safety, and security across all Verto-sponsored international programs, activities, and travel – Develop and manage international health and safety policies – Oversee compliance with relevant international health and safety regulations – Conduct global risk assessments for international operations and programs – Manage and maintain emergency response protocols – Coordinate crisis response for international incidents – Advise on destination-specific safety planning for international education programs REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International education programs depend on robust health and safety frameworks to operate responsibly and sustainably.
