The University of Galway is currently seeking a Director of Internationalisation to oversee its global ambitions. The Director of Internationalisation will play a crucial role in realizing this vision, working closely with the Vice President International. This position requires collaboration with our Colleges and Professional Services, with specific emphasis on developing global partnerships, attracting international students, and enhancing the global student experience. We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for international higher education and a proven track record in strategic leadership and global engagement. Over the past three years, we have invested significantly in our international vision and strategy through the Global Galway Project. This has resulted in a substantial expansion of our International Office and a significant increase in internationalisation activities. The initial appointment will be for approximately three years, and a review of the International Office roles will take place in 2025, leading to the approval and implementation of a long-term structure.
