Liverpool Hope University is a unique institution steeped in history and committed to a values-driven approach to education. We are looking to hire a creative, proactive, and motivated individual to serve as the Director of International Development. This role is pivotal as we expand our global engagement efforts.
The Director will report to the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Marketing, Recruitment & Admissions and will offer strategic leadership on international development, especially focusing on recruiting international students and enhancing the Hope global brand.
Key responsibilities include managing the international recruitment team and expanding capacity both in the UK and abroad. The Director will oversee the entire international student experience, from initial inquiry to registration. This includes market planning, student recruitment, channel management, inquiry and conversion strategies, international marketing, and alumni engagement. They will also develop and implement strategies for recruitment and marketing, assess their effectiveness, and work towards greater diversity in the student body. Additionally, the role involves contributing to broader international branding and partnership goals.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other Directors to enhance the prospective student experience, coordinate with the Dean of Global Engagement on developing and expanding partnerships, and engage with faculties, professional service departments, and external partners to ensure impactful activities aligned with the university’s strategy. The role may include specific market responsibilities and some international travel.
