Director, Center for International Studies Reporting to the Executive Director, International Studies and WKU Student Affairs, the Director of the Center for International Studies (Director) is responsible for overseeing campus-wide coordination of global initiatives, partnerships, and programs for both inbound and outbound students. This includes managing education and exchange abroad programs, providing services and support to international students and scholars, developing and maintaining partnerships with international institutions, and ensuring institutional compliance with U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Department of State regulations. The Director may also perform additional duties as required. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours. Qualifications: -A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and three years of professional experience in international education in a higher education setting is required. -Experience with federal visa and immigration laws, particularly F-1 and J-1 regulations, and the use of the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) is required. -Experience serving as a Designated School Official (DSO) is required. -Experience with re-certification and de-destination is required. -Knowledge of and experience with supervisory and management practices is preferred. -Experience in student advising is preferred. -Prior study/work abroad experience is a plus. -Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
