Job Title: Dean of International Affairs (DIA) Job Summary: Northwood University is seeking a Dean of International Affairs (DIA) to oversee and guide the university’s international initiatives. The DIA will play a vital role in expanding Northwood’s global outreach, fostering international awareness, and promoting cross-cultural understanding among students and faculty. This position involves supervising International Program Centers (IPCs), enhancing international student enrollment, internationalizing university operations, and supporting academic departments in educational programs and industry partnerships. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic vision for international programs, collaborating with faculty, staff, and administrators to enhance global engagement opportunities. 2. Enrollment Management: Work closely with Admissions Offices, including International Admissions, to increase international student enrollment at the Midland campus. 3. International Program Centers (IPCs): Manage existing IPCs and establish new IPCs, with the goal of operating 10 IPCs by 2026 and increasing IPC student enrollment by 100% by 2028. 4. Program Development: Lead the development of innovative international programs, including study abroad, international internships, and exchange programs. 5. Strategic Partnerships: Establish international partnerships to advance Northwood’s mission and The Northwood Idea philosophy. 6. Budget Management: Oversee budget planning and ensure efficient allocation of resources to meet program goals. 7. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulations and policies related to international programs, including SEVIS compliance and health and safety protocols. Qualifications: 1. Master’s or doctoral degree in International Education, International Relations, or a related field (doctorate preferred). 2. 7-10 years of experience in leading international areas in higher education, non-profit, or related sectors. 3. Demonstrated success in increasing international enrollment in higher educational institutions. 4. Strong knowledge of global trends, best practices, and emerging issues in international education and intercultural communication. 5. Experience in developing and managing international partnerships and exchange programs. 6. Excellent leadership abilities and proficiency in a second language desired. 7.
