OVERVIEW Baylor University is seeking a Regional Assistant Director of Admissions to support strategic enrollment goals through regional recruitment and student counseling efforts. This position focuses on guiding prospective students and families throughout the admissions process while strengthening Baylor’s presence in key regional markets. The role combines relationship-building, admissions review, recruitment coordination, and collaboration with university partners to support incoming students. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Support the university mission through guidance and counseling for prospective students – Help achieve freshman strategic enrollment goals for incoming classes and terms – Represent baylor in regional recruitment activities and outreach efforts – Coordinate regional recruitment in key markets – Establish new relationships and networks to increase application numbers through the enrollment funnel – Attract students who are an academic, social and financial fit for the university – Manage a geographic recruitment territory – Provide counseling to students and families regarding admissions and enrollment processes – Coordinate recruitment events and outreach activities – Review applications as part of the admissions process – Collaborate with financial aid partners and related university offices – Build relationships with high schools and regional admissions networks REQUIREMENTS – Experience supporting recruitment and enrollment initiatives – Ability to provide counseling to prospective students and families – Ability to manage a regional recruitment territory – Strong relationship-building and networking skills – Ability to coordinate recruitment events and outreach activities – Ability to review admissions applications – Experience collaborating with financial aid and university partners – Ability to work with high schools and regional admissions networks WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This role contributes directly to university enrollment goals by helping students navigate admissions and recruitment processes with clarity and support.
