OVERVIEW The Director of Global Learning at Hollins University is a senior leadership role focused on advancing education abroad and global engagement across the institution. Reporting within the university’s academic framework, the Director leads the Global Learning Hub and shapes strategy that aligns global learning with institutional priorities. This position plays a central role in strengthening international partnerships, managing complex operations, and ensuring that global opportunities are accessible and sustainable. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide overall leadership and operational management of the Global Learning Hub – Oversee education abroad strategy for the university – Lead program development related to global learning and study abroad – Manage risk management processes connected to education abroad activities – Develop and maintain global partnerships – Oversee budgeting related to global learning operations – Foster cross-campus collaboration in support of global learning – Advance equitable access to study abroad opportunities – Integrate global learning into the university’s academic renewal plan REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Global learning is a critical component of preparing students to engage responsibly and effectively in an interconnected world.
