OVERVIEW The Director of International Student & Scholar Services provides leadership for immigration advising, compliance, and support services for international students and scholars at Georgia Institute of Technology. This role has campus-wide responsibility for programs affecting F and J populations and works closely with academic and administrative partners. The position combines strategic oversight with operational management in a highly regulated international environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Lead immigration, compliance, and support services for international students and J-1 Exchange Visitors – Oversee the International Student & Scholar Services team – Manage the department budget – Serve as a liaison across campus on matters related to international students and scholars REQUIREMENTS – Deep knowledge of F and J immigration regulations – Eligibility to serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) – Eligibility to serve as a Responsible Officer (RO) WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International education operations rely on accurate advising and strong compliance to protect both students and the institution. As director, this role ensures that international services are delivered consistently while meeting federal requirements.
