OVERVIEW The Director of International Student & Scholar Services provides leadership for immigration advising, compliance, and support services for international students and scholars at Georgia Institute of Technology. This role has campus-wide responsibility for programs affecting F and J populations and works closely with academic and administrative partners. The position combines strategic oversight with operational management in a highly regulated international environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Lead immigration, compliance, and support services for international students and J-1 Exchange Visitors – Oversee the International Student & Scholar Services team – Manage the department budget – Serve as a liaison across campus on matters related to international students and scholars REQUIREMENTS – Deep knowledge of F and J immigration regulations – Eligibility to serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) – Eligibility to serve as a Responsible Officer (RO) WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International education operations rely on accurate advising and strong compliance to protect both students and the institution.
