OVERVIEW The Senior Director, Global Programs and Services at San José State University provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for key international education functions within student affairs. This role is responsible for guiding International Student and Scholar Services as well as Study Abroad and Away programs, ensuring they align with institutional priorities and regulatory requirements. Reporting to senior student affairs leadership, the position plays a central role in shaping the university’s internationalization efforts and global engagement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for International Student and Scholar Services. – Lead and manage Study Abroad and Away programs. – Shape and advance institutional internationalization efforts. – Support international students and scholars throughout their engagement with the university. – Ensure compliance with applicable regulations affecting international students, scholars, and programs. – Expand global learning opportunities in alignment with university priorities. – Report to senior student affairs leadership and contribute to broader student affairs objectives.
