OVERVIEW Taft School seeks a full-time Assistant Director of Admissions for an August 2026 start date in Watertown, Connecticut. This role supports the admission and enrollment process for prospective students and families while contributing to a thoughtful, equitable, and mission-driven admissions process. The position is part of a lively, collegial, and dedicated school team and includes responsibilities related to outreach, management, and admissions operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Contributing to the admission and enrollment process for prospective students and families – Managing assigned admission territories – Conducting outreach activities – Interviewing prospective students and families – Reviewing applications as part of the admissions process – Communicating with families throughout the process – Supporting recruitment initiatives – Participating in admissions operations activities – Assisting with data systems management – Participating in residential school community life – Contributing to a thoughtful, equitable, and mission-driven admissions process REQUIREMENTS – Deep understanding of domestic independent school markets – Deep understanding of international independent school markets – Ability to support territory management responsibilities – Ability to contribute to admissions operations and data systems management – Ability to work collaboratively within a collegial school environment WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS This position plays an important role in helping families navigate the admissions process and connect with the school community.
