OVERVIEW The International Student Advisor role supports international students within higher education by managing immigration-related services and providing holistic advising. This position focuses on compliance with U.S. immigration regulations while helping each student navigate academic and personal transitions in an international environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Manage a caseload of international student immigration requests and benefits in accordance with U.S. Department of Homeland Security regulations. – Advise students on immigration matters, cultural adjustment, health insurance, and finances. – Contribute to international student orientation and ongoing programming. – Serve as a Designated School Official for F-1 regulations. REQUIREMENTS – Experience working with international students in higher education. – Strong intercultural communication skills. – Ability to serve as a Designated School Official for F-1 regulations.
