OVERVIEW The Director of Global Partnerships & Initiatives at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln provides strategic and operational leadership to advance the institution’s global priorities. Working closely with the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Global Affairs and the Senior International Officer, this role focuses on strengthening international partnerships, supporting enrollment growth, and enhancing the university’s global profile. The position sits at the intersection of strategy, partnerships, and international engagement across the university. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Work with the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Global Affairs and Senior International Officer to support strategic and operational leadership and implementation of university priorities – Lead the management and expansion of international partnerships – Support enrollment growth through partnership pathways – Nurture academic collaborations that strengthen the university’s institutional global profile – Manage international delegations – Oversee international agreements – Conduct and manage global engagement reporting – Lead partnership development activities – Support international student enrollment initiatives – Oversee mobility and exchange programs – Serve as liaison with external strategic partners REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Global partnerships are central to how universities expand academic collaboration, student mobility, and international visibility. This role helps translate institutional strategy into concrete partnerships and programs that support enrollment, research, and global engagement. By coordinating across internal and external stakeholders, the Director contributes to a coherent and sustainable internationalization approach.
