OVERVIEW The Admissions Recruiter for Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Tennessee serves as a liaison between the university and the broader community. This position focuses on connecting with prospective students, supporting recruitment activities, and representing the institution through outreach efforts across Tennessee and surrounding states. The role also involves conducting campus presentations and helping students learn more about undergraduate opportunities. This position is designed for professionals with experience in admissions and recruitment who can communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including foreign students. The work combines relationship-building, public engagement, and travel-based outreach in support of institutional enrollment goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Serve as a liaison between the university and the community – Represent UTC at programs and high school visits – Interact with prospective students, including foreign students – Coordinate recruitment events – Conducting campus presentations for prospective students and visitors – Travel throughout Tennessee and surrounding states to support recruitment activities – Support undergraduate admissions outreach and engagement efforts REQUIREMENTS – Bachelor’s degree – Experience in recruitment and admissions – Ability to interact with prospective students and community audiences – Willingness to travel throughout Tennessee and surrounding states WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Admissions professionals play an important role in helping students navigate higher education opportunities and connect with a university community.
