OVERVIEW The Director of the School of Policy and International Affairs and the International Affairs undergraduate program at the University of Maine provides strategic academic and programmatic leadership for internationally focused education. This role is responsible for guiding the structure, direction, and external engagement of interdisciplinary programs in global policy and international affairs. The position connects faculty, students, and external partners to advance education and research on global issues. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Guide the academic direction of the School of Policy and International Affairs and the International Affairs undergraduate program. – Oversee internationally focused graduate and undergraduate programs in global policy and international affairs. – Provide leadership for programmatic and external structures associated with international affairs education. – Coordinate interdisciplinary faculty engagement across relevant academic areas. – Promote international policy programming within and beyond the university. – Support research and education initiatives focused on global issues. – Advance external relations related to international affairs programming. – Lead or contribute to fundraising activities supporting the school and programs. – Engage in community outreach connected to international and global policy education.
