OVERVIEW The Orientation Leader for International Student Orientation Programs at the University of Kansas supports the onboarding and transition of newly admitted international students. Based within the Office of International Support Services, this role focuses on welcoming students to campus, guiding them through orientation activities, and helping them adjust academically and culturally to KU. The position involves direct, ongoing interaction with international students during structured programs and events. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide direct support to newly admitted international students during international student orientation programs – Facilitate orientation sessions designed to introduce students to university resources, expectations, and campus life – Lead or assist with social activities that promote connection, engagement, and community among international students – Assist students with registration-related processes and navigating the campus environment – Participate in pre-orientation preparation activities to ensure programs run smoothly – Support administrative tasks and event operations related to orientation programming – Engage extensively with international students to help support their academic and cultural transition to the University of Kansas REQUIREMENTS WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International student orientation plays a critical role in helping students understand academic systems, immigration-related processes, and campus resources in a new country.
