OVERVIEW Boston University is seeking a Senior ISSO Coordinator for the International Students and Scholars Office. This role provides administrative support to a diverse international student, scholar, and employee population of nearly 12,000 individuals. The position focuses on immigration processing, admissions support, document preparation, and advising international students and scholars on university procedures and policies. The Senior ISSO Coordinator serves as an important point of contact for student and scholar services by evaluating client needs, directing individuals to appropriate isso staff, and supporting operational processing functions within the office. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide administrative assistance to a diverse international student, scholar, and employee population – Evaluate client needs and refer clients to appropriate isso staff – Advise clients on immigration and university procedures – Perform preliminary immigration processing – Process international admission paperwork review – Complete data entry and document issuance activities – Prepare immigration and university documents – Advise international students and scholars on policies – Perform administrative functions supporting office operations – Support new student check-in and admissions processing REQUIREMENTS – Experience providing administrative support – Ability to advise international students and scholars on immigration and university procedures – Ability to manage processing, data entry, and document issuance tasks – Ability to support admissions processing and student check-in activities – Ability to work with a diverse international population WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International education offices play a critical role in helping international students and scholars successfully navigate immigration requirements and university procedures.
