OVERVIEW Eastern Michigan University is seeking a Director, GACET International Academic Operations to support collaboration with Beibu Gulf University. The role focuses on advancing Engineering and Technology programs for students studying both locally and abroad in China. This position supports international admissions, academic coordination, and student advising while serving as a key connection between university partners. The position requires experience in academic environments and substantial knowledge of international programs and admission processes. The director will work closely with faculty, students, and instructional staff to help maintain strong academic operations and communication between institutions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Act as a liaison and facilitator between Eastern Michigan University and Beibu Gulf University – Advance Engineering and Technology programs delivered to students in China and abroad – Facilitate international admissions processes – Support students and instructional staff at BGU – Coordinate curriculum matters between institutions – Coordinate transfer credit matters – Advise students on academic-related topics – Promote international programs – Serve as the main contact for EMU faculty at the BGU campus REQUIREMENTS – Master’s degree – Minimum of 5 years of experience in academic settings – Substantial knowledge working with international programs and admission WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS International academic partnerships require strong coordination to help students succeed across institutions and countries.
