OVERVIEW Arizona State University is seeking a Grant Writer to support the Office of Global Academic Initiatives. This role focuses on identifying and pursuing external funding opportunities connected to international education, global engagement, workforce development, english language education, and public diplomacy priorities. The position supports proposal coordination and grant application preparation for international sponsored projects. The Grant Writer will work with funding opportunities from federal agencies and other sponsors, including the U.S. Department of State, U.S. embassies, and Regional English Language Offices. The role requires strong attention to detail, strategic coordination, and the ability to support development efforts that align with institutional global priorities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Identify and assess strategic external funding opportunities – Pursue funding opportunities aligned with Arizona State University priorities – Support initiatives related to global engagement and international education – Monitor federal funding opportunities from the U.S. Department of State – Track opportunities from U.S. embassies and Regional English Language Offices (RELOs) – Coordinate proposal development activities – Lead preparation of grant applications – Support ASU’s international sponsored project portfolio – Contribute to projects connected to workforce development and english language education REQUIREMENTS – Experience or ability to identify external funding opportunities – Ability to coordinate proposal development – Ability to prepare grant applications – Knowledge of funding processes related to federal sponsors and international programs – Capacity to support international sponsored project activities – Interest in global engagement, development, and education initiatives WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Grant professionals play a central role in advancing international education and global collaboration across higher education institutions. By supporting strategic funding and grant development efforts, this position contributes to programs that expand educational partnerships, english language education, and global engagement opportunities.
