**Assistant Director of Japan Programs (ADJP)**

#### Position Type
**Full-time, 12-month hybrid role as Administrative Faculty and Teaching Faculty (non-tenure track)**

#### Operational Bases
– **Richmond, Indiana:** January (post-winter holidays) to early August
– **Morioka, Japan:** Mid-August to mid-December

#### Key Responsibilities
– **Program Administration:** Assist the Director and team with administration, event planning, management, and partnership maintenance.
– **Teaching:** Serve as Faculty Leader for the Japan SICE Program during fall semesters in Japan, teaching two courses on comparative international education and related topics.
– **Resource Person:** Support participants in the post-bac EC-ALT Program by assisting recent graduates who serve as assistant English teachers in Morioka.
– **Program Oversight:** Report to the Director and aid in managing various Japan-related programs, both onsite in Japan and for incoming students, staff, and faculty from Japan. Tasks will be delegated by the Director.

### Current Programs
– **Japan Study Program:** For outgoing students and Resident Directors.
– **Japan Study Program:** For incoming exchange students, exchange faculty, and the Faculty Development Program.
– **Japan SICE Program:** For both outgoing students and incoming exchange students, including the Staff Development Program.
– **EC-ALT Program:** Assistant Language Teachers program in Morioka.
