Özyeğin University, Istanbul – Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of International Relations Position Announcement: Assistant/Associate Professor in International Relations Özyeğin University, a dynamic and forward-looking institution situated in Istanbul, is seeking applications for two full-time faculty positions at the level of Assistant or early Associate Professor in the Department of International Relations. We invite talented scholars with a strong background in research and teaching to enhance the interdisciplinary character of our academic offerings. Qualifications: – PhD in International Relations or a closely related field such as Political Science, Sociology, Economics, etc. – Demonstrated potential or proven track record for conducting high-quality research with publications in top-tier academic journals. – For Assistant Professors, desired having at least two Q1/Q2 (WoS) publications. – For Associate Professors, at least four Q1/Q2 (WoS) publications and two high-caliber book chapters published in the past five years. – Dedication to teaching excellence at both undergraduate and graduate levels, with a course load of 2 2. – Experience with interdisciplinary research and collaboration is highly valued. – Associate Professor candidates should demonstrate a substantial research portfolio and a strong teaching and project background. Responsibilities: – Develop and conduct innovative courses for undergraduate and graduate programs. – Perform high-impact research, aiming for publications in leading academic journals. – Mentor graduate students and contribute to enhancing the department’s academic programs. – Work with fellow faculty members on interdisciplinary research projects. – Formulate a solid research agenda aimed at applying for TUBITAK, Horizon, and ERC grants. – Participate actively in service roles within the university, professional bodies, and the global academic community.
