The student recruitment and admissions process, database management, and record keeping are the main responsibilities of this position. The role also involves managing registration and attendance at Career Expos, as well as implementing boutique outreach events in regional New South Wales. Some travel may be required for these events. A clear understanding of confidentiality and personal integrity is essential. The position requires at least 5 years of experience in customer service, administration, and database management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Calendar, and Outlook is necessary. A Police Check and Working With Children Check are required, or the candidate should be willing to obtain these certifications. A First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one is also required. Previous experience in the educational and/or student accommodation sectors is preferred. Familiarity with Synergetic student management software is a plus. The ability to communicate creatively on various social media platforms and confident presentation skills are advantageous. A degree, preferably in arts with an interesting major, is desirable. Responsibilities include being the first point of contact for prospective students and their families seeking accommodation, providing information and encouragement to apply. The position involves organizing and conducting College tours throughout the year. The candidate will be expected to manage the flow of applications and treat each one with care. They should be eager to learn about Dunmore Lang College and answer any questions prospective students may have. Managing student files, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date database, and overseeing a schedule of activities and events are part of the role. Booking, organizing, and attending Career Expos is required. The position involves managing marketing materials, merchandise, and collateral for the College. Recruiting and training College Ambassadors, ensuring seamless and accurate systems, and managing the database of current students and alumni for producing reports are additional responsibilities. The candidate will also allocate room bookings for university semesters and break periods. They should be self-sufficient, self-motivated, and a great team member, willing to assist other work areas during periods of high demand. Assisting the Dean of Students in maintaining a social media presence and engaging with the Alumni community is required. Active participation in regular staff and team meetings is expected. The candidate will be working with the College staff team, Student Leadership Team, student residents, College visitors, Macquarie University Accommodation Office, Indigenous Strategy Unit, Widening Participation, Macquarie International, MUIC, Future Students’ Unit, and International and Study Abroad agents. Dunmore Lang College was established in 1972 as the first affiliated Residential College at Macquarie University. It accommodates 260 students, primarily from rural and regional NSW, as well as from interstate and around the world. The College provides a scholarship program to support students who would not otherwise be able to attend university. It has a significant outreach program targeting rural and regional, Aboriginal, and first-in-family students. The students are supported by a pastoral care team of staff and student leaders.
