OVERVIEW This role provides administrative leadership and management for study abroad operations at Abilene Christian University, supporting international education within a Christian higher education context. Reporting to the Executive Director of International Education and Study Abroad, the position oversees core operational areas that enable students to participate in global learning experiences. The work advances the university’s mission of global Christian education through well-managed international study programs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Provide administrative leadership and management of study abroad operations – Lead student recruitment activities for study abroad programs – Oversee marketing related to study abroad offerings – Manage program administration for study abroad initiatives – Coordinate academic components of study abroad programs – Oversee financial aspects of study abroad operations – Manage travel logistics related to international programs – Supervise student workers – Support ACU Study Abroad programs – Collaborate with campus offices to advance international education initiatives REQUIREMENTS – Bachelor’s degree or higher – International experience – Ability to work effectively with diverse populations – Willingness and ability to support the Christian mission of Abilene Christian University – Status as a professing Christian, consistent with the university’s affiliation with the fellowship of the Church of Christ – Availability for domestic and international travel WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS Study abroad programs require strong operational leadership to ensure student safety, academic quality, and institutional alignment. This role plays a central part in connecting global learning opportunities with the university’s faith-based mission. By coordinating logistics, academics, and student support, the position helps make international education accessible and meaningful for students.
