As the Student Immigration Compliance & Advice Officer at Birkbeck, you will play a crucial role in assisting the International Student Administration team within Registry Services. Collaborating with experienced colleagues, you will manage various administrative tasks essential for upholding the University’s Student Visa sponsor licence. You will receive training to handle ongoing international student support duties, including providing basic immigration advice and offering information on international student matters to colleagues across the University.
This role requires close collaboration with multiple University departments, such as academic departments, Finance, External Relations, and other segments of Registry Services. You will also have daily interactions with international applicants and students via email and phone.
You will join a proactive team dedicated to navigating ever-changing Government policies and ensuring compliance while optimizing recruitment efforts from non-UK markets. Your responsibilities will include verifying identity documents, cross-checking data, generating reports, and updating internal records, demanding a meticulous attention to detail.
Relevant administrative experience and the capability to handle high volumes of work and multiple priorities are crucial. A proactive problem-solving mindset and genuine interest in international education are highly encouraged.

**Salary and Benefits:**
– £29,392 rising to £32,962 per annum, Grade 4 of the College’s London Pay Scale, inclusive of a London Weighting/Allowance.

– Open-ended, permanent contract
