The Royal Society serves as an endorsing body for the Global Talent visa, utilizing our sector expertise to handle visa endorsements for professionals in research and innovation who wish to work in the UK.

We are currently seeking a Global Talent visa Programme Manager to join our expanding team. This role is crucial in our efforts to manage and expand the Global Talent visa, which plays a vital role in facilitating the mobility of the academic and research community. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and possess strong leadership skills, taking charge of the Society’s work related to the Global Talent visa under the guidance of the Senior Manager for the Global Talent visa within the International Grants team.

As the Global Talent visa Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the line management of the Global Talent visa operational team and will work closely with the Senior Manager. This position is well-suited for individuals with experience in the UK research and innovation field, a comprehensive understanding of the UK immigration landscape, and prior experience in team management.

Your main duties will involve effectively managing and operationalizing the Global Talent visa at the Royal Society. Key responsibilities include overseeing the applications process across different routes of the Global Talent visa within the Society’s purview, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and collaborating with counterparts at endorsing bodies to enhance the usability and effectiveness of the Global Talent visa immigration category.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Global Talent visa, and entails line management of four Global Talent visa Managers and one Global Talent visa Officer. The position is based in Carlton House Terrace, London, SW1Y 5AG, with hybrid remote working available.
