The California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University offers APA-accredited doctoral and master’s programs in Clinical Psychology and Marital and Family Therapy. CSPP’s mission is to provide the highest quality education, training, research, and service in professional psychology and related human service fields. The school strives to improve the quality of life by promoting respect for human diversity in a multicultural and international society and combating discrimination in all forms. CSPP focuses on applied clinical research to address contemporary life challenges.
The Fresno Clinical PsyD Program, under the direction of Dr. Ya-Shu Liang, seeks a qualified candidate for a faculty position. The position requires a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited institution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence or potential for excellence in teaching, community engagement, diversity, clinical expertise, and dissertation supervision. A California license or license eligibility is highly preferred.
Responsibilities include facilitating learning through classroom and distance learning, curriculum coordination, student assessment and mentoring, research mentoring and supervision, and field placement coordination. Faculty members are also expected to engage in scholarship, which includes the generation, integration, dissemination, and application of knowledge in their field. Additionally, all faculty members participate in service activities to the University, community, and profession, and are required to fulfill certain duties that support campus life and administrative processes.
Key skills for this role include proficiency in computer skills, the ability to work independently and be self-motivated, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, effective communication, flexibility in workflow, and the ability to work collaboratively with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
