The People Directorate at the University of Greenwich, representing the Human Resources Profession, is undergoing transformation as it works towards the University’s strategic objectives. Over the past three years, we have experienced an increase in the number of domestic and international students, expanded our partnerships both nationally and internationally, invested significantly in our campuses, and witnessed the growth and development of our staff.
Aligned with our university strategy – This is Our Time – we are on track to become the leading modern university in the UK by 2030. The People Directorate plays a vital role in supporting this goal by implementing a cohesive People Enabling Strategy with four key priorities:
1. Excellence in Leadership and Management
2. Building High Performing and Inclusive Teams
3. Enhanced Modern Infrastructure to support people
4. Sector Leading EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) and mental health and wellbeing
We are currently seeking a new Head of Talent who will be responsible for embedding talent management frameworks. This role requires a careful balance between improving equality outcomes, maintaining establishment discipline, and forging strong partnerships with our student employability services and external partners. The objective is to ensure that we have a consistent and effective talent management strategy for our workforce. Additionally, the Head of Talent will have a key role in achieving sector accreditations such as the Technicians Commitment.
If you join our team, you will collaborate with a friendly, passionate, diverse, and inclusive group of HR and OD (Organizational Development) professionals who are dedicated to upholding our values of excellence. Together, we have already achieved notable results in the areas of inclusion, mental health and wellbeing, and sustainability.
