About the Role
As part of the University’s Corporate Engagement leadership, you will manage the Partnerships and Civic Affairs team. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Strengthening relationships with civic, political, and community stakeholders to enhance the University’s impact, influence, and reputation.
- Collaborating with the Civic University delivery team to shape the University’s contributions towards regional devolution.
- Supporting the University’s Master Plan with Estates and Facilities, advocating Southampton as a vibrant place for students, residents, and workers.
- Building collaborative connections internally by uniting colleagues, academics, students, and the Southampton University Students’ Union (SUSU) to deliver meaningful outcomes for the local and regional community.
This role demands an individual capable of building and nurturing long-term relationships, understanding complex stakeholder needs, and contributing to strategic initiatives that support both regional development and the University’s global vision.

- Experience in leading external affairs, civic engagement, or strategic partnerships.
