### Position: Director of International Admissions
The Division of Enrollment Management is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to take on the role of Director of International Admissions. This position entails the primary responsibility for the recruitment, processing, admission, and enrollment of all degree-seeking undergraduate students, along with providing strategic support for international graduate student recruitment. The successful candidate will work closely with both undergraduate and graduate admission teams to design and implement a comprehensive international recruitment strategy and will be pivotal in fostering and maintaining strategic international partnerships. The Director will also be responsible for the development and management of systems, practices, and services to enhance the recruitment and yield of international students.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– **Strategic Recruitment Planning:** Develop and execute an international student recruitment plan that aligns with enrollment targets and complements the University’s overarching strategic objectives.
– **Market Analysis and Outreach:** Utilize data-driven approaches to identify and expand into new international recruitment markets while strengthening efforts in existing ones. This includes in-market recruitment, leveraging technological systems, and applying current best practices in international student recruitment.
– **Enrollment Goals:** Collaborate with divisional leadership to set international enrollment objectives based on institutional trends and market research.
– **Partnership Development:** Build partnerships with key stakeholders, including two-year and four-year colleges, EducationUSA centers, ESL programs, and consular and embassy officials in targeted global markets.
– **Monitoring and Reporting:** Track and analyze international student progress through the admissions funnel, producing reports and taking action as needed.
– **CRM Utilization:** Optimize the use of an Enrollment Management CRM to enhance recruitment and enrollment efforts.
– **Team Management:** Hire, train, and manage a team of dedicated international admission professionals.
– **Marketing and Communication:** Provide insights and recommendations concerning marketing campaigns and collateral geared towards international recruitment.
– **Credential Evaluation:** Demonstrate expertise in foreign educational credential systems and assess the authenticity of secondary and post-secondary academic documents.
– **Admissions Review:** Review and evaluate admissions applications.
– **Collaboration:** Work with campus partners and faculty on issues relating to international student recruitment, onboarding, and success, covering areas like English Language Programs, Global Programs, New Student & Family Programs, Academic Advising, and Housing.
– **Committee Participation:** Serve on campus-wide committees focused on international recruitment, enrollment, and student success.
– **Representation:** Represent the University at various recruitment and yield events.
– **Policy Oversight:** Exercise discretion in determining policy and procedural exceptions.
– **Additional Duties:** Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
– **Required:**
– Master’s degree
– Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience
– Prior supervisory/management experience
– Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally
– Proven success in crafting and executing a multifaceted international recruitment plan
– In-depth knowledge of graduate and/or undergraduate admissions and international recruitment strategies
– Strong technical and analytical skills
– Excellent customer service skills
– Experience with CRM systems and reporting
– Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours
– Ability to travel for recruitment purposes domestically and internationally
– Familiarity with SEVIS regulations and visa processing issues
– **Preferred:**
– Familiarity with Technolutions’ Slate CRM
– Fluency in a second language
