To avoid formatting issues, please use PDF format. — ### Position Summary: The Office of Study Abroad at Rice University aims to provide transformative, academically rigorous, and culturally enriching international experiences for undergraduates. The Assistant Director, working under the supervision of the Director, will offer comprehensive support and guidance to students throughout the study abroad process—from program selection to re-entry after their overseas experience. Key responsibilities include conducting information sessions, providing one-on-one advising, offering pre-departure and re-entry guidance, and engaging with students throughout their study abroad journey. The Assistant Director will also collaborate with campus partners, contribute to administrative processes, manage information on the office’s website, and represent the office at various events. ### Ideal Candidate Statement: We seek candidates with significant experience in a higher education advising role, preferably in international education. Personal experience in studying or working abroad is highly valued, as are strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in a foreign language is also a plus. ### Workplace Requirements: This position requires all duties to be performed on-site.
